Thank you for your podcast all the way from the UK. I ran so far from the IFB after I got kicked out of Tennessee Temple University, I got so far into drugs, alcohol, sexual sin. I was a hurting, young missionary’s kid and I have only one memory of a Pastor that treated me with care in that time (besides my dad).
Here I am 21 years later, I did marry an unbeliever when young and we are still happily married 15 years on, I am living for God, my kids are being raised in a Christian home as far as I can manage, I am serving God in my Anglican church in youth ministry. And most importantly, I am learning who I am in Christ and the freedom I have in him.
I am grateful for my upbringing now, even though it may have caused a lot of issues spiritually for me. My dad passed away 4 years ago, and even through his short cancer battle his faith was hopeful and sincere.
So once again, thank you for your podcast and the company it is giving me on this journey.
I’m a RF who went Anglican as well here in the Southeast US. The church is doctrinally conservative and it has been a great place to heal and learn and serve. I appreciate your comment here. Glad to know you found your faith outside the IFB. Blessings and Merry Christmas.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
